Mechanical Engineer - Learn More

Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of power generators and associated mechanical systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation of equipment. The engineer will also contribute to troubleshooting, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems with emphasis on power generators and rotating equipment.
● Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems.
● Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of generator and mechanical system failures.
● Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
● Perform mechanical calculations, simulations, and performance analysis.
● Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and technicians on cross-disciplinary projects.
● Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
● Provide technical guidance and expertise to power generation staff.

Required Skills and Abilities

● Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
● Hands-on experience with power generators, turbines, or rotating equipment.
● Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or similar).
● Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
● Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
● Proven project management and leadership capabilities.

Minimum Education and Experience

● Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (master’s degree preferred).
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
● Industry background in power generation, energy, oil & gas, or utilities highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

● Ability to sit, stand, and move about within office and field environments.
● Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
● Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in field or plant settings.
● May require travel to job sites or field locations.

Field Technician - Learn More
Summary

Under supervision, this role is responsible for operating natural gas pressure reduction systems and other equipment. Tasks include operating high-pressure equipment, quality testing, proper documentation, and maintaining awareness of environmental and health safety.

Candidates will be required to take basic training for onshore safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain various field equipment/ systems such as pressure reduction systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper flows, temperatures, and pressure levels.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of trailers.
  • Organize products and maintain the cleanliness on customer site.
  • Act as a primary link for communication between operators and management and monitors inventory control measures.
  • Bring any issues to the attention of management.
  • Adhere to required Company Trainings, Policies, and Procedures.

Experience, Skills, and Characteristics

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 2 years of oilfield or related experience preferred
  • Passionate about reliability and safety – customer obsessed
  • Candidate will be required to do heavy lifting
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems with guidance
  • Will complete work in a competent and timely manner
  • Capable of following instructions from immediate supervisor
  • Effectively communicates, both written and orally
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred
  • Willingness to travel: 90% of the time. Work locations are throughout Texas

Master Electrician - Learn More

Summary

Comanche Gas Solutions is seeking a licensed Master Electrician to lead electrical installations and support infrastructure development, including work with natural gas generators and microgrid systems. This role requires strong technical leadership, regulatory compliance knowledge, and the ability to travel to field sites

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for generators and power infrastructure.
  • Ensure NEC, OSHA, and local code compliance.
  • Respond to field outages and perform safety inspections.
  • Train field personnel and maintain documentation.
  • Optimize system efficiency and support renewable integrations.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Texas Master Electrician License.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in power generation or industrial systems.
  • Strong skills in schematics, high-voltage systems, and diagnostics.
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the organization, including periodic field visits if/when needed.
